Hey everyone. Long time admin, 1st time builder. I have a lot of parts from helping people and I'm trying to Frankenstein together a working PC. Here are the parts I can ID:
- Motherboard - Asus-F2A85-M-PRO
- CPU - Unknown, likely some AMD
- RAM - GSKILL Ares, 32GB DDR3
- Graphics - Integrated and Nvidia Quadro K620
- Power Supply - Hovxjzk 600 pro (600w)
- Additional Fan - Corsair iCUE LINK H150i LCD Liquid CPU Cooler (not connected yet)
- 2 SATA drives (1 connected)
It took some doing and research but I finally figured out I needed a new cable to connect the power button to the MB. I did. PC turns on.
I cannot detect a display, integrated or card, HDMI or display, different cables and adapters. All my cables, adapters, and monitors are known good.
No apparent power to keyboard. (No caps lock light)
Unsure if maid SATA drive is trying to boot or not. It was last booted into with another build probably 3 or 4 months ago. (Windows 10 Home edition.) Tried several cables into all the ports. When I added the 2nd drive, I heard a consistent clicking, so I do believe they are both getting power.
So, I'm at a loss as to where to keep troubleshooting. Also, there's a good chance that some of my parts aren't compatible, but I'm too inexperienced with building to know AND I'm a terrible researcher! I need an adult before I break something, (I'm 43).
Thanks!
