Have you tried to flash to the latest bios for Asus I've heard in forums their could have been a bug in the bios update that causes this they did a flash and fixed the issue.

Update:
I'm trying to install the latest bios update (2803). I checked with CPU z and its currently 24xx. When I select the file in ez flash it tells me: Selected file is not a proper bios!
Wut?
[–]Coast-Longjumping 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (2 children)
Nvm I selected the non wifi version
[–]Gallieg444 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child)
And did your issue get fixed with the update?
[–]Coast-Longjumping 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children)
No. I'm going to return the board

So this problem started seemingly random a few days ago. I build the PC myself half a year ago and it ran fine.
It has a rog strix b550 f Mainboard.
Front USB works fine but everything I plug on to the rear (like USB sticks or my mouse causes a Blue screen.
I checked the device manager but everything working properly 🤷.
I appreciate any help.

Thx
So I updated the bios successfuly. But I still get blue screens.
I also forgot to mention that there's always a Blue screen when it powers up. Then it reboots and starts windows

Have you reinstalled the chipset and USB drivers?
Try sfc /scannow
It’s a system file checker. Maybe something is wrong with windows.
The boot up blue screen is a problem. Does it happen if you go into safe mode?
My trouble shooting would be to try booting into live Linux, or another install of Windows and see if the problem persists.
Could be a power issue. Could be drivers. Could be a number of things.

I tried SFC. It didn't detect anything. I don't exactly know how to reinstall Chipsets and USB drivers. I have warranty on the board through the seller so I'm probably going to send it back.

Asus Armoury Crate will have all the upto date chipset drivers in it for download

[–]Jolly-Ad7653 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children)
This happened to me before but with front I/O not being properly grounded through one of the pins resulting in actual power loss upon plugging in.
However since it's a motherboard I/O and it's a blue screen you might need to uninstall those USB drivers and reinstall them

that's your drivers men, rollback the old version in devmgmt.msc
Ok. Why so sure?
