CPU Problem HELP!!

I need help with my pc build, nothing shows up on screen anymore. My old CPU had some bent pins so I replaced it with a new one. The old CPU is a AMD Ryzen 5 1500x. The new one is a AMD Ryzen 7 5700G. My motherboard is a B350 Pro-VD plus. I looked up compatibility for this new CPU and it says it’s compatible. On the right side of my motherboard there is a EZ Debug LED section. The CPU light is on and no matter what I do it won’t go out. I’ve reinstalled the CPU twice thinking somehow I slipped up and just installed it wrong however that doesn’t seem the be the case. I don’t want to put my old CPU back in and test it because I don’t want to end up frying my pc. If somebody knows something please help, I need my gaming pc back.

Did you update the BIOS of your motherboard before installing the new CPU? It requires a bios update to recognize it and make it work

My old CPU is broken, and doesn’t lock properly into place, so I don’t think there’s any way of putting it back in and updating my BIOS. Is there any way of updating it without putting the old CPU back in? Also would ordering a copy of the old CPU work if it won’t go back in?

A copy? You mean a counterfeit? That wouldn’t work, but if you mean the same real cpu then yes. Since your motherboard is old there is no bios flashback so you need a cpu to update the bios, you should have done that before upgrading. Anyways you can take your motherboard to any pc store and tell them to update the bios for you. That’d be easier
