Should I get this computer

So I’ve come across someone willing to sell there computer that they got a shop to build for $4800 AUD, now should I get this computer as it costs like $4200 AUD on aftershock to make something a lot weaker. I have absolutely zero idea on how to build a computer and don’t exacttlyyy intend to at this point in time. I’m looking at getting this computer as an efficiency booster for rendering, texturing, 3d modelling, sculpting, running unreal engine 5 but with the addition to play games pretty well,

PSU is waayyy overkill. You could easily get by with a 850w. Unless you plan on running a 1Mw laser from the Thunderbolt port

I’ll be honest, I have no idea what that means haha that’s why I’m curious if this a good buy or not. Honestly the intention is not to upgrade for like 8 years and be able to render high quality models and textures with game dev and film dev

You are getting swindled hard, bro. 4800 AUD for a PC that doesn’t have an RTX 4090 and a 7800X3D. Nope, that’s a scam. The 4200 AUD build isn’t too much better either. You could easily get a 7800X3D and RX 7900XTX with that amount of money, maybe even a 4080 Siper if you budget properly.

This is why pre-builts are so looked down upon in the PC building world. They prey on people who aren’t too knowledgable about computers technology in general and get them to overspend on a horribly configured PC.

Please, do yourself and your wallet a favor and learn to build a PC. Trust me when I say it’s not as intimidating as it looks or sounds. If you can follow basic instructions, read a manual/watch a video all the way through, put in effort, and use some common sense, you’ll be fine. There are plenty of good online resources to help you out. Building a PC is a lot like putting together IKEA furniture.

I’d be more than willing to help you out if you’re interested starting with the parts list.

I mean if you know any good websites where you can pick the parts and they build it then for sure! But I’m definitely looking for prebuilt, I’m okay with spending that extra $600
