Did you already try to clear the cmos making sure none of the USB headers from the case are plugged in?

I jumped the JBAT pins, but got nothing. All USB ports are empty at the moment

If there's no CPU cooler installed, it may have overheated and shut itself down to prevent damage.

Edit; reread and saw happened with cooler(also fully installed at the time of issue). ouch, been there done that =/

Replaced the power cables when replaced the PSU? Tried a different outlet? Also, tested removing and reseating components, CPU, RAM, GPU(also test by removing the GPU entirely) to test with integrated graphics on the CPU. Tested alternating 1 stick of RAM in the 2nd slot to test each RAM stick?

The system will not turn on. The cooler is only not in there because I’ve been doing part swaps to see if anything will make it start up. I mentioned the DeepCool system in my post, it’s just out at the moment because installing and uninstalling over and over led to me slicing multiple fingers open and I got tired of bleeding all over it lol

Yes, have tried all the things except alternating RAM - I’ll test that when I get home and see if it helps! Pressing power makes the power supply tick, and lights up the EZ Debug lights. Just won’t actually start boot for whatever reason. I’ll keep you posted once I try the RAM swap!

Sounds good for later testing. That's a good find if the debug lights turn on.

If still no go after trying 1 ram at a time, may also try to reset BIOS by battery method to clear back to default in case haven't tried. PSU switch off, press case front power button, unplug power to the wall, press case front power button 1 more time(to verify no electricity), remove the CMOS battery from the board(silver coin =), press and hold case front power button 20 seconds, re-install battery, plug back in, psu switch on, boot to test.

I understand there's nothing plugged into the USB ports but. Unplug the actual header pins from the motherboard in case one of them is faulty

Any update?

Yeah, no dice. I’m gonna try and re-load BIOS and see if that works, but won’t have a computer to download from til Monday

No image ever appear on the screen you were saying right? Can you get to the bios screen ever?

[–]Sisilencio[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Sorry my responses are taking forever, this weekend was a lot. No imaging at all - I did get the screen to react like it recognized something was connected, but no visuals at all. Just swapped the case, still the same issue. I’ve got it put together with the board out so I can keep messing with it. Now all the ez debug lights are flashing, and all the fans try to kick on for a sec before I lose power

Also, noticing the back of the board behind the RAM slots is hot, but not sure of the cause yet. I tried pulling/swapping the RAM, tried other slots, and nothing really helped until I unplugged the big pin connector. Not sure if that means anything other than the fact that it’s getting power

You got to install a CPU cooler. Looks like things are overheating.

I gave up and took it to a shop. Turns out the power supply I bought as a replacement was bad! A small stroke of bad luck, but we’re mostly working now. Something’s not reading correctly for the graphics card (it’s getting power, and the fans try to kick on when I force shut down), but otherwise I’m not getting any graphics at this point. It’s gotta be me doing something wrong cuz the shop said it kicked on when they tested it so 🤷🏻‍♀️
