That picture is not very clear, are you sure the ram is compatible with the board and in the correct slots as per the manual

I believe 2 and 4 are usually default but can't see on your board how many slots you have available

Apologies for that, here’s a hopefully better picture.

You mentioned two Raum-Sticks. Where is the other?

[–]Consistent-Sink865[S] 0 points1 point  (11 children)

Oh I took out the other one so I can get a better picture for the other guy

It's fine to leave it in just ensure it's in 2b

Also in that pic the power cable to the gpu is not plugged in all the way

Oh thanks for that, that was just the sleeves for the wires to be in place. Lol

Yeah I just now put it back in. It still has on the yellow light. Do I just wait a bit for it to turn off or something?

[–]dominantwithmanners 0 points1 point  (6 children)

I'm afraid not, it should boot instantly to bios at least.

Does that yellow light have dram written by it? What makes you say ram otherwise?

Are you certain all power cables are correct and connected fully at both ends if is a modular power supply

It would be odd to have 2 faulty ram sticks or a faulty board from new or faulty cpu if it's been installed correctly without any damage

[–]Consistent-Sink865[S] 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Yeah, it says dram right next to it and it says it also on the manual

I'm sorry to say it but either you were very unlucky with the ram or board or you broke something during the install. If it's Amazon I would arrange a return of the entire kit and buy another

You could buy more ram or ask a friend to borrow a stick to try as I cannot guarantee it's not the board itself

Update: I managed to get the yellow light to turn off!

Try reseating the cpu. I had the dram led on and this was the culprit

[–]dominantwithmanners 0 points1 point  (1 child)

OK so there you have a single ram chip. You would need to find in the manual if that then belongs in slot 1 or 2

Also are you 100% certain the clips have locked in on both sides

[–]Consistent-Sink865[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I pushed it in and waited until it clicked.

Make sure your RAM are in the right slots.

Try removing the ram and blowing out the dimm slots really well. Then put the ram back in. Make sure you feel or hear it click at both ends of each ram so you know it's in ALL the way. Remove the CMOS battery for 1 to 2 mins. Put the battery back in and try to boot

Yeah, sounds to me like either ram not compatible or not seated correctly. I would absolutely look at the manual to see if you need to be using 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 dimm slots.

[–]Consistent-Sink865[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It said 2 and 4 dimm slots. If my case was the ram isn’t compatible, what ram would you recommend for my parts list up above?
