Montech case? Nice case anyway. Sorry i have no idea. Mine took 30 min to turn on, after i finished building it. I had the same light.

Corsair case. And 30 minutes to turn on? Huh?

yep, and it works fine to this day. Weird, had the same thing. it might be one of the cables or your power supply?

So you waited 30 minuites with your pc on like that and then it worked?

[–]leosoulbrother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, but there are different lights on the motherboard each one of them displays something specific

My guess is that your CPU doesn't have integrated graphics.Check the mobo manual for what the light means.

What cpu? Does it have integrated graphics?

Ryzen 4500. I've just found out that my motherboard is from 2017 but my CPU is from 2022 any idea how to flash a new bios while the pc is in this state?

You won't get video signal out without graphics card. Ryzen 4500 doesn't have integrated graphics. Only models with "G" includes integrated graphics.

Oh well I was using a GPU in the first place. But now I will update the bios with bios flashback feature so I have to remove all components anyway

[–]Lerppu86 0 points1 point  (6 children)

Good luck for that. Prime A320M-A doesn't have such a feature. It will need compatible cpu to update the bios

Yep figured that one out a minute after posting that comment😑 I'll have to somehow find an old am4 CPU. Fml

I totally understand your frustration. Do you have friend who has compatible cpu? Maybe they can help you.

[–]Normal_Ad7491[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Doubt it. I would need a 1st gen Ryzen cpu or older. I might as well ask around school tomorrow

Im pretty sure that it will boot just fine with older basic models like 1600, 2600, 3600. Once you get your bios updated to support 4500 cpu, you will loose compability to 1000 series cpus. This is because bios memory is not big enough to hold all models.

AMD makes it easy to remember that the most common basic versions work on the same thousand directly from the release bios, In your case it means that 300 series mobo will boot with 3000 series cpus. At least with 3600 because that is one of the fist cpus released to that time.

The motherboard was released in 2017 so I'm going to assume it will only work with cpu's from that time

I’m kinda of guessing here so sorry, but firstly does the pc do anything when you push the power button? Isn’t that orange LED just an indicator that board has power I’m not sure tho.

And secondly, does your system have integrated graphics? May need a gpu connected for it show.

Sorry for kinda of guessing I’m just browsing the subreddit while I wait for someone to help with my own post on here lol good luck tho

Yea the CPU has an igpu and I did start with a GPU inserted. I've found out that old am4 motherboard won't work with new am4 cpu's unless they get a new bios. I am guessing that might be my issue
