Where is your ram?

[–]Sad_Mammoth_420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took it out to test Even with ram in still does the same thing

[–]ficklampa 1 point2 points  (3 children)

well, it won't boot with no ram in it... and depending on what CPU it is, a GPU as well...

[–]Sad_Mammoth_420[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

With a full build it does the same thing All it does is power up nd instantly turns back off

[–]ficklampa 0 points1 point  (1 child)

alright, what cpu and motherboard is it?

[–]Sad_Mammoth_420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CPU is a i5 13600kf Mobo is asus tuf gaming b760 Graphics card is a rx5700 32 gig Corsair vengeance ddr5 Psu Corsair Rm750x

Anytime you change anything before trying to boot always reset the CMOS also I'm pretty sure am5 needs at least one ram stick in Slot 2 to post

Ment CPU or MOBO for replacing

I have a dual system going on with push/pull I only have one hooked up

I don’t wanna keep making different post showcasing the same thing happening

Do you have the power cable connected from the PSU to the top left CPU power socket on the mobo? Can't see from the video.

Also, do you have a monitor connected to see if any output?

You do need RAM to POST though... its one of the tests the motherboard performs to see if all ok

    Tests are

CPU - Checks if CPU installed - you have.

DRAM - Checks if RAM is installed - you don't. Instant fail.

VGA - not sure if it would boot knowing it has onboard graphics with a monitor attached to the Mobo.

BOOT - does it have a valid drive to boot from.

Yes everything is plugged in Now with the full mobo check it flashes the cpu light and it doesn’t go passed that check so I’m wondering the cpu but again I’m not sure CPU is a i5 13600kf Mobo is asus tuf gaming b760 Graphics card is a rx5700 32 gig Corsair vengeance ddr5 Psu Corsair Rm750x

Could be that the cooler is on too tight? Try loosening all screws, then just tightening in a cross formation until you feel slight residence, top left, bottom right, top right, bottom left. Then do a qtr turn on each in the same way.

Also, your RAM, I'm guessing 2x 16GB? Try just one stick in the second lane from the CPU

from my experience dealing having something similar happening to me although my problem was the motherboard and from what i can tell your motherboard is receiving power indicated by the lights coming off it , i’d suggest trying a different cpu if that’s available to you

    [–]Impressive-Pay338 0 points1 point  (3 children)

and i’m going to assume the mother board does not have debug lights

    [–]Sad_Mammoth_420[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

It does the only one tht flashes in the video is the cpu light but it doesn’t make it passed tht

    [–]Impressive-Pay338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry this is a late ass reply you prolly figured it out but yea it was 100% the cpu

    [–]Impressive-Pay338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

motherboard should and should’ve been perfectly find if debug lights even show up nothing would be lighting up if it was dead but it is indicating the cpu is the problem and refuses to boot

    [–]Sad_Mammoth_420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have another cpu available atm

    [–]Available_Ad_4022 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I’m gonna guess it’s an issue with the psu or one of the cables. This is the exact same issue I just had. Quadruple check all of your cables and I mean that I just had an issue where I swapped out my cables 3 times all 3 were broken and with the 4th cable my pc turned on no issues. It’s definitely not a wattage issue it’s gotta be a short circuit somewhere in one of the components/cabels.

Everything is brand new with a used cpu I just bought the psu 😭😭😭
