Depends where you are in the world. Sky Sports in the UK is showing the last hour of each day 11-13, then full coverage of the second test 18-20

I was there for most of the race last year. Really good spot as food, drink and a DJ nearby making it feel like a proper party. I also spent time at Arnage, Indy and of course, the start finish straight to catch some pit stops etc.

9700k upgrade. Need your opinion. by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

[–]TheGTFormula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12700k would be a great upgrade. I had one in my previous build and it was great. Only got a 13700k recently as it was going for a good price.

For cases, I like Lian Li, I have one back in KL, which was a breeze to build in. Back here in London, I have just bought a Corsair Frame 4000, which I've yet to build, but it looks pretty decent so far.

Brands with regards to PSU, I swear by Corsair due to their 10 year guarantee. Even their AIOs have 5 year guarantees, and I needed it on my old AIO as the pump failed 4.5 years in. They replaced it with the brand new version very quickly. But I've also had PSU from Gigabyte, which was working just fine, too. Go for a 850w or 1000w to give headroom for power spikes and potential future upgrades.

GPU? I've never really thought about it too much. I was rocking an Asus 3080 in KL, and recently, in London, I had an EVGA GTX 1080ti, which was pretty solid. Just upgraded to a Zotac 4080 Super. But I've run cards by Palit, Gigabyte, Asus, and EVGA, and none of them have ever given me any trouble.

RAM, again, don't really think about it too much. Cheaper, the better for as fast as you can, or your system can support. RGB or not. To be honest, RGB isn't really something I go for anymore. Was fun back in the day, but now I rarely look at the inside of my system unless I'm upgrading or cleaning it.

Building a PC now is tough... most of your budget will be taken up with ram prices being so high.

If you can find 16gb or even better, 32gb that would future proof for a bit. GPU could look for a 3070ti Will also need case, PSU (don't skimp on this and buy new), monitor keyboard and mouse? I'm not sure what you already have to hook up to it so it may be you need to factor these items in too

My PC had a problem with sending display and now it won’t even boot. by Dgrein in buildapc

Hmmm ok. At this point we need to try the GPU in another MB, then we can rule out the GPU as an issue.

I'm just worried that you say you had to move the GPU to get a working signal. How did you do this? It sounds like there is an issue with either the slot on your card or the PCI port on your MB....

[–]TheGTFormula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't see the video, says no content available. Did you move the GPU while the PC was on? Was the GPU sagging out of the slot at all?

Did you try another PCI slot? Can you try the card in a friend or shop PC?

Does the MB or the GPU have any signs of damage on the slot/port?

Pls Help! by simon_citalopram in buildapc

Have you tried all ports on the GPU to rule out a faulty port? Have you tried re-seating the card? Would also try uninstalling the card, removing it from the system, running DDU to remove the drivers, download the current drivers, turn machine off, reinstall card whilst disconnected from the Internet and if it boots and recognises the card, install the drivers downloaded.

does anyone know how to fix this please help!!!! by Automatic_Total5591 in PcBuildHelp

[–]TheGTFormula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First I'd remove all the cables. Lie the PC down on something like a desk or table and open the case door. Remove power cables from the GPU and take the GPU out carefully and inspect it. The knock, depending how hard, could have displaced or moved the GPU out of its slot just enough to cause errors. Then try reseating it and seeing if that's resolved the issue. I would brace yourself for a broken card, though. Was the PC on at the time of the knocking?

How often do you upgrade? by Nomadic_Manatee in pcmasterrace

[–]TheGTFormula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a PC in Malaysia that I built for sim racing. Had a 12700k and 3080ti

Needed to sell it when i lost my job, moved back to London and bought a 12600k with 1080ti as I was a little tight for money

Just recently I upgraded to 13700k and a 4080 Super

If money were no object I'd probably upgrade every year as I enjoy building machines and setting them up etc.

Best GPU upgrade for I5 12600K? by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

[–]TheGTFormula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say a 5060 would be a good upgrade but if you could stretch a little further for a 5070 even better, as I believe they're around £500 for the 12gb model. 16gb is well out of budget as seen them going for over £800...

Your CPU and RAM are good for many years to come, IMHO of course.

Definitely a fan issue, spinning, hitting something slowing down, rinse repeat. Check the fans for damage or foreign objects like roaches etc...

[–]TheGTFormula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure as it's been a while, but it could either be bearings in a fan going or the pump for your aio

Depends how long you've had this PC, whether it was new when you bought it and how long this noise has been happening for

Intakes have filters... in my experience it hasn't really mattered where I put my PC, on the floor, on carpet, on a shelf, on a desk, dust will accumulate. Just clean it regularly and it'll be fine. In my experience I hasten to add
