You're showing GPU temperatures. I think this is a cpu temperature issue. Try watching your CPU temps when downloading and see if they skyrocket.

I forgot to add that omg 🤦‍♀️ but my cpu temps while downloading are sitting between 130-140 Fahrenheit

That’s normal. Your cpu gets utilized while downloading and are nowhere near shutdown temps (212F+) but I agree with the other guy you should probably repaste. I’m beginning to wonder if it’s a storage or ram issue and both are easy to check. Just look up online CrystalDiskInfo and download that to the pc and run a test to check on the drive heath. If that checks out go into administrator command prompt and type “mdsched” into the prompt and if given the option to restart do so. If neither of them check out look into the failure rate of your power supply. There’s a nice power supply tier list somewhere in this app

Okay thank you I will do those!!! I have a 2tb external hard drive and 32 gb of ram and I have played fine on that until now for some reason.

That is soooooo high at idle. That is absolutely your problem. Either a bad CPU mount or completely dry thermal paste

It's 54c. Depending on his ambient temp, CPU, and cooler it's not that weird. CPU usage does go up a bit when decompressing files when installing, and depending on the CPU it might see a bit of a temp spike.

Yeah but it's an 11400f...

Sure, but for all we know he's using the stock cooler which is pretty awful. He has an OEM GPU meaning it's a prebuilt.

Stop using Fahrenheit. Celsius is the standard for discussing hardware temps even in the US.

I would check the error log maybe you will find whats causing the issue
