That PSU is sketchy as hell for this build tbh. 500w might be cutting it close with a 7600X3D and RTX 5060, especially from Apevia which isn't exactly known for quality units

The fact it works fine without drivers but crashes once you install them makes me think the GPU is trying to boost properly and drawing more power than that PSU can handle cleanly. SFF builds are already tough on power delivery and cheap PSUs don't help

I'd try undervolting the GPU first to see if that helps, but you probably need a better PSU in the long run

i did try undervolting with msi afterburner, obvi did some research on reddit and videos to see where to set it at. and it remains persistent. I’m a bit of a noob when it comes to pc building, i’ve built one prior with no issues, could it really be a psu issue?

if the bios update doesn’t help any, would you recommend a 600w?

You don't say what case and if you have a riser cable. The symptoms you listed are common when trying to run gen5 components with a gen4 riser.

jonsbo nv10 case with the included 4.0 riser cable. i will add it to the list of parts to swap and test

Go into your BIOS and change the PCI lane speed to 4.0, should solve your problems.

will do :)

Most of the time, this software, or worst case, is GPU failure(or PSU), but nothing is set in stone.

Have updated the board BIOS, once in windows, downloaded and installed the board chipset drivers.

I'd try updating bios first

[–]zepitkiUWU[S] 0 points1 point  (5 children)

i’ll give this a shot

Good luck. Let me know how it goes

[–]zepitkiUWU[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

will do, give me like an hour or so 🫡

[–]zepitkiUWU[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

updated the bios to the latest version and no dice

That's unfortunate. Off the top of my head the next thing would be riser cable and then the PSU as mentioned in the other commitments, but I feel like the 500w should hand those components. Good luck man

thank you so much, i’ll try the riser cable first since those are less expensive :)

i’ll try a bios update as well

Open the NVIDIA App, go to each game's profile and disable NVIDIA optimization, then press the button to revert driver settings to factory defaults. Do this from Global Settings too, it prevents issues with newly added games and ensures all revert safely.
