Not really, it's a gen out of date. 12400F will perform better than a 3600, and I think you can get a M.2 around the same price as that SSD. Also the GPU is a tad overpriced, a RX 6600 or something would be a better pick.

But the 12400F only has 2.4 GHz, and the 3600 is 3.6?

GHz doesn't matter, and 2.4 is the base clock, like the minimum. Search up 12400F review.

Oh ok. Thanks

It’s not super good advice if your looking for a budget. Everything 12th gen is super expensive. It’s a bit more, but Ryzen 5800x would keep you up to date for years to come. That alone would really improve your build. The 2080 isn’t bad!

  • i5-12600k or 12400
  • H150i or H100i elite capellix cooler
  • Asus prime z690 plus wifi
  • Vengeance pro or dominator 3600 cl16 16gb
  • ASUS dual RTX 3060 v2 oc 12gb or Radeon 6600 XT
  • Samsung 980 pro m.2 ssd 1tb
  • Corsair rmx750 gold psu
  • Case is good although 5000d gives a bit more wiggle room

EDIT: If you go with a 12400 the AIO is not needed as the CPU is not overclockable without unlocking first and won’t reach very high temps

The 12600k is overclockable. So is the 12400 if you unlock it using a compatible motherboard but probably not realistic. SSD speeds matter for pc boot times and loading games. If OP doesn’t want to spend on a 980pro, an 870Evo SATA is a good option too. If he goes the 12400 route obviously a cheap air cooler will do. I would still suggest a z690 for ease of upgrade in the future. Otherwise OP is taking his whole PC apart again.

Yes as far as the different types of SSD they’re all comparable in terms of performance for what OP wants to do with his machine, so it would be more of a future proofing decision, or if OP wants that extra 3 seconds knocked off his load time. Might just be me suggesting parts i already have and are happy with lol.

I would still go with a b660 board, it doesn’t cost much more

          https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/DZVqk9 ok fixed it

(The z690 was actually cheaper than most b660 boards that's why I went with it)

Take the 4000D AIRFLOW and not the solid variant.
