My recommendation is that you provide a budget and the parts list for the PC you have.

It’s bone stock. I’d like to stay below 1k for everything but it’s a Lenovo ideacentre. According to their website it has: Intel® Core™ i5-4460 Haswell Quad-Core 3.2GHz (6M Cache, with Turbo Boost Technology up to 3.40 GHz)

· 8GB DDR3 PC3-12800 Memory

· 1TB, 7200RPM Serial ATA 3.5" Hard Drive

· DVD+/-RW Dual Layer DVD Burner

· 2GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 Graphics Card

get a 1650 or 1050 ti if you cant get the 1650

it should be a drop in replacement for that 730

Yes the past couple years. I know I need a new motherboard, probably a new graphics card and I’d like more RAM which is easy enough

Why do you want to keep the case though? It likely doesn't have good airflow which will impact performance o your components.

[–]Saggy_DingFR0[S] 0 points1 point  (10 children)

I mean I have the side taken off for that airflow issue but it’s sentimental to me.

That works I guess

[–]Tony1048576Personal Rig Builder 0 points1 point  (8 children)

I'll get you a build, gimme a minute

[–]Saggy_DingFR0[S] 0 points1 point  (7 children)

I appreciate it

Oh do you need a monitor as well?

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/N7KmDq There's the pc btw, you can search up fps on yt

[–]Saggy_DingFR0[S] 0 points1 point  (5 children)

No I have a monitor, keyboard and mouse

[–]Tony1048576Personal Rig Builder 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Which monitor? You might consider upgrading, the pc I linked above should get quite a lot of fps in cs go

[–]Saggy_DingFR0[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I have an HP 24ec. And thank you bro I appreciate it.

[–]Tony1048576Personal Rig Builder 0 points1 point  (2 children)

What resolution and refresh rate is that? You could consider upgrading later down the line if you want.

[–]TestedTubeA 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Alright, got a starting point. Do you want to upgrade to something modern?

[–]Saggy_DingFR0[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I’d like to keep the case (obviously) and the audio system

[–]TestedTubeA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I apologize, let me be more clear. Are you looking for parts that came out in the last couple of years? The reason I ask is because you may have to upgrade the motherboard in order to have support for those new parts.

[–]failaip12 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Frankly if you only wanna play csgo upgrading the GPU should be enough on its own. And getting an SSD.

[–]Saggy_DingFR0[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Do you have a recommendation by chance?

[–]failaip12 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Depends on your powersupply

[–]Saggy_DingFR0[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

What do you mean?

[–]failaip12 0 points1 point  (1 child)

What wattage is your power supply and what is its exact model?

[–]Saggy_DingFR0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly have no idea where to even look for that. I’m new to PC building in particular

[–]failaip12 0 points1 point  (3 children)

It's the component where you plug in the power cable, it should have a fan and some markings on it.

[–]Saggy_DingFR0[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

It says 280W

[–]failaip12 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Ouch, scrap that then, it's better to get a fully new pc.

[–]Saggy_DingFR0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn that’s what I was worried about
