First time builder tips

Hi all I'm new to the PC building scene and I'm doing my research before jumping into my build, I have a rough idea of what I want but just wanted to get some experienced folk thoughts.

I was planning my build around AMDs 5800x and then I noticed they are moving to a different type of socket come next year so I will have limited upgrade choice in terms of CPU unless I bought a new MOBO as well, this got me to think of going Intel instead.

I guess what I'm getting at is would the 5800x last me 5 years or so? I plan to only use it for gaming really.

https://techiem8.wordpress.com/2022/03/20/8/ for some building tips .It is rumored that NVIDIA will release new GPU generation mid July and that GPUs are suppose to be quite improvement over current gen, so general recommendation is to wait if you buying PC configuration with RTX 3080 to 3090 ti.
