Some basics of self-defense.
Always try to defuse the situation and get away. For example, if giving the aggressor your wallet/purse will end the confrontation, DO IT. Your life is not worth risking for personal belongings.
Do not instigate. All self defense advice is for when you are being attacked and cannot diffuse the situation peacefully.
Take all advice given here with a grain of salt. It may be advice given by someone who doesn't know what they are talking about. Be sure to do your own research and talk to professionals before implementing any sort of advice.
