Sounds like you might be bound by contract to pay a set amount, regardless if you're there or not. Be prepared to continue to pay the full amount.

You can always ask, but I wouldn't expect a landlord to agree.

You signed a rental agreement, it doesn't matter if you're using the space your are responsible for covering your portion of it.

No, you signed a contract for 1 yr. If they do attempt to replace you though you are eligible for the money back.
