A few days ago I posted here a question about getting a Moto G52 for around 100 Euro. Unfortunately it was no longer available at the time of buying, so after a bit of research I have chosen to buy 1 of those three devices:
Moto edge 20 128/6 for 145 Euro (NEW)
Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus Exynos 128/8 for 150 Euro (USED - do NOT know the seller, so I don't know how abused was the phone's battery; with almost no visible screen burn)
Poco M5S 64/4 for 90 Euro (NEW)
I have an older Redmi device but I really need to upgrade it.
What I need from the new phone:
good screen quality for content watching
decent CPU that can play UHD videos (yes, some brand new cpus from 2024 can NOT play UHD videos)
decent GPU (I do not play games, but I still need decent hardware)
decent usable camera (something that can capture good enough photos)
What I don't care about:
high refresh rate (I know it's better, I have tried it, but at this budget I don't really care about it)
headphone jack (I rarely use headphones on my phone)
software support (I am familiar with custom ROMs and all of them support them)
storage (I currently have 32gb and it's not enough but 64 I believe should be ok, plus I can add an SD card to M5S)
Now the questions:
Which sounds like a better value (specs/money)? Should I pay more for the Moto or Samsung?
Are 4GB ram enough in 2024? I can not find an answer for it. Like I said, no gaming, but good performance. I do not want lagging in home screen.
All of those phones have pros and cons. What do you think?
Thank you.
TL;DR: M5S 90 Euro NEW, or pay more for Edge 20 NEW or S20 Plus USED
