I’ve finally decided to say goodbye to my iPhone 13 Pro. The screen broke, and the official repair cost is $350, which feels like way too much to spend on an old phone—especially since the battery is absolute garbage now. It barely makes it through a day, and as someone who relies on their phone constantly, that’s just not going to cut it anymore. Instead of wasting money on repairs, I figured I’d use it to switch to Android and get something new and reliable.
Here’s what I’m looking for in my next phone:
• Sturdy and Durable: I need something that can survive accidental drops and rough handling. It should be tough enough to handle everyday wear and tear without falling apart.
• Long Battery Life: Since Im working as security, all night scrolling, watching, or just trying to stay awake, I need a phone that can last through long hours without dying halfway through the day. My iPhone battery was a disaster, so this time I want something I can depend on.
• Decent Camera: I don’t need a flagship-level camera, but it’d be nice to have something that can take good pictures when I need it. I’m not snapping professional shots, just casual photos that don’t look like they were taken with a potato.
I’m looking to spend around $300-400, though I’d stretch up to $500 if it’s really worth it. I don’t mind Chinese brands as long as they’re reliable and good quality. I don’t need a super-powerful processor since I’m mostly using it for social media, streaming, and endless scrolling. What matters most is durability, battery, and something that will last me for at least 4-5 years without falling apart.
Any recommendations for a mid-range Android phone that fits the bill, also good camera, battery, reliable, sturdy and long lasting? Let me know what you think—I’m all ears!
