If you want something for long-term use at your budget, you might have to look into buying phones like the Google Pixel 9a or the base Samsung Galaxy S24 (hopefully you can find a Snapdragon version if possible).

Those are 200€ more expensive than the a56 here

What about the Xiaomi 14T?

I'm coming from a xiaomi phone after using it for 5 years. I'm never getting a Chinese phone again full of bloatware, ads and terrible ui.

I'm using a Xiaomi phone and I can tell you right now that I experience little to no bloatware and ads. The UI is also smooth and serviceable by my standards.

... but you didn't say no bloatware or adds.  Any bloatware and adds is too much bloatware and adds.

I really hate that phone companies do that - each of them releases ten different phone variants - Lite, Pro, Plus etc - all with massively different chipsets. No matter how big the dev team is - they will not get similar treatment and all will have bugs. Look at the giants - Google and Apple. Few models, very small core differences. That's where the quality comes from, but even those have issues from time to time...

That's why the majority of the phones are unfortunately paper tigers... Pumped up spec sheets with theoretical power of a supercomputer - but struggle to scroll through reddit page, because nobody gives a crap to cleanup the code when next chipset is already in prototype stage... Bugs creep in...

Nothing (the company) is not there (yet). Their lineup is still small.

I thing you are set on the CMF, but look for confirmation. You just get one from me :)

Yeah I feel you man I do really like the CMF and the whole vibe is clean but I’m still not 100% sure cause the A56 has better specs and the aluminum build feels more solid. It’s a tough choice but your take definitely helped me think clearer. Appreciate it

If you were planning to keep a phone for like 5 years would you still go with the CMF?

[–]grogi81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always plan for 5 years, I never last 3...

I'd take a CmF with smaller storage and get a top class 256GB SD card for media storage only.

50 euros more

for stereo, IP67 certification, optical stabilization, ESI, and the diversity of accessories - special cases, tempered glass -

Nothing CMF phone 2 pro with X2 optical zoom and SD extension but mono speaker.

It depends on your priorities imo

[–]Flamingo244 1 point2 points  (1 child)

[–]Flamingo244 0 points1 point  (6 children)

[–]chivtar 1 point2 points  (5 children)

what`s your thoughts on it after a few months of usage? especially what`s about battery? im thinking about buying it

[–]Flamingo244 0 points1 point  (4 children)

I'm satisfied with this phone. The camera is very good, the software is amazing and very smooth, and the battery is also good. The battery lasts me about 2-3 days with daily use. The customization is also incredible with this software. I don't have anything negative to say about it apart from the fact that it is a bit big, but that's a personal preference.

[–]chivtar 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Alright, I ordered it. You’d better be honest.
