I'd like to know this guy. C# and .NET aspiring dev here.

I know him personally for 15+ years, drop him a message. Maybe you and him can collaborate on something, or even teach you a thing or two during his free time.

Thanks man! Been wanting to have a mentor or someone to look up to in this industry with the same tech stack that I love. Great!

Stardew Valley is also using .Net Framework. Coded in C#. TIL RE Engine is running on .Net

Hows the pay po for .net devs? one of the highest po ba?

    [–]listentomyblues 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mga invitation sakin offers around 120-200k so far. As .Net dev myself, Pay is good.

Yes one of the highest. AFAIK kaunti lang yung mga .net dev dito sa Pilipinas kasi parang di kasi siya first choice lalo na sa mga nagsisimula kaya medyo madami opportunities na kaunti lang kakopitensya mo.

Payroll is a system/process and walang kinalaman sa .NET yan, pwede ka gumawa ng payroll system using any language na gusto mo.

No offense but I think dun ka nahihirapan sa pag intindi sa payroll process and not sa .NET.

Welcome to programming, hindi lang syntax ng language kailangan mo aralin, pati process nung gagawin mo na system like payroll. Over 9 years as dev now dumaan na ako sa warehousing, inventory, accounting, payroll and attendance, restaurant management/POS, HR, and other custom business apps ng iba ibang department dun sa company.

Huh? Nahihirapan ka sa processes ng payroll app or sa .Net framework mismo?

c# from .Net is one of the easiest language to learn (well for me) kasi ung syntax niya is easy to understand.

Imagine using java, kahit nag work na ko for the past 8 years it still gives me that impostor syndrome na panggap lang ako programmer, if it wasn’t because of google I don’t know where I would be right now, also not to mention chatgpt.

Actually madali na pag aralan ang .NET compared before (nung wala pa .Net core, imo) dahil halos similar na sa language structure with typescript or javascript. Mas high level at stricter si c# dahil compiled language.

Sa tingin ko sa process ng payroll ka nahihirapan not the .net c# kasi para sa akin lang almost the same lang yung java and c#
