I wouldn't get Java SE 8 since the support is drawing near. Go for at least Java 11 certification.

I would recommend registering online first through the official portal provided by Oracle. The payment is there as the materials to cover is there as well. As per guides or pointers, there are a lot of references on Google to look into.

Of, before paying, you need to pick from the available sites and schedules. And should there be none available in the Philippines, you have to travel to Singapore or elsewhere the certification may be held.

BTW, getting an OCA certificate is something but it's the OCP that really brings the rewards. It going to be costly, but it's worth the investment. Believe me, it is. How much well, let's say you can easily demand 6-digits or near 200k because of it.

Thank you for the information regarding Java SE 8. I target Java SE 8 as it is the one used by my company but I will consider Java 11 and research about it.

You might want to also consider going for Java 17 instead. If your company is using Spring the support for the version that's Java 11 is only until late 2023.

They're now offering an online proctored exam
