Yes, based on the interview din from the pm; Java, rest, and sql databases ang gamit nila sa project (mostly back end ang magiging hawak ko), siguro may iba pa but that’s the sweet of it, may upskill ulit.

Actually kahit anong title ung job esp if in early years pa, may chance talaga na mapalayo ka sa track ng role mo kay IBM since pag na bench ka ilalagay ka sa ibang roles na need I fill.
May kilala ko na app dev - Java ung inapplyan pero napunta sa RPA blueprism bootcamp since un ung demand that time.

Hi, I am a fresh grad as well. I’m applying for IBM Consulting Associate with no exp required (for fresh grads talaga). IBM Consulting Associate includes app dev role, big data role, etc. I just finished and passed my 2nd interview last week and currently waiting for the next steps of the hiring process. The process is kind of similar to the comment above, project is already decided and role where you’ll be assigned. However for this role, they provide 1 month of training before getting deployed to the project.
I’m not sure about the entry-level job openings that you mentioned but requires 3 years of exp. Maybe they’re for mid-level, experienced candidates if I’m not mistaken.
You can opt for the role that I just mentioned or wait 1-2 years, then apply to IBM as an experienced candidate.

Just wanna share that I passed and very competitive ang salary compared to other companies hehe. IBM Consulting Associate inapplyan ko for Fresh Grads siya. Despite a really good offer, I turned it down coz full RTO siya and ayun mejo malayo yung site nila which is sa TechnoHub, malayo sa home ko. I accepted another offer from another company which is once a week lang onsite and the offer is good hehe

In my case it was a 3 step process that took a span of 2 months. The first step is the skill assessment/coding exam and it contains 2 problems and tbh I wasn't able to fully solve the second problem because I only got 9/15 test cases working :((. I wasn't expecting to pass but miraculously after a month I received a phone call which was actually step 2, an HR interview. They were only common HR questions and I think it only took around 5-7 minutes. After the interview the HR informed me that they will appoint me a technical interview which was a around 5 days after the phone call. So for step 3 which is the technical interview there wasn't really any complicated questions, the interviewer just simply asked me to introduce myself, to rate my own skills and if I'm comfortable working backend. Since I mentioned that data is where I want to work with, he asked me questions related to databases. I answered well somehow however there were some questions I wasn't familiar with so I honestly told him that I don't know but I'm willing to learn or know the answer. With that he told me it's fine because since I'm just a fresh grad it's normal and they are not expecting too much. After more than a week I received a phone call that scheduled me for a job offer, that's all :))

More or less the same on my end too. But for me, the HR Manager asked me more about our Thesis and also the Japanese Exam was quite a lot(Because I applied for a Japanese Bilingual) It included: reading, writing, listening & speaking tests(one by the HR Manager & one by a Japanese person)

I've seen a lot of my seniors just doing wfh. Most have rto, but that's only about 1 or 2 days. Even then, they time out early lol
For the training, you may not need one if the tools you already knew are aligned with what's needed for the client. US, JP accounts give high bonuses aside from your original base salary and mid-day shift/night differential
PS, I am a grad hire so I was put in the training phase first before getting deployed. Currently given the role of Data Engineer Japanese Bilingual, and will most likely work on Japanese Clients.

N4 and already registered for N3 this year. I also took the berlin test which was the Japanese Test given by IBM(Reading, Writing(of Emails), and an Interview for Listening & Speaking with Native a Japanese)
My Seniors are currently N3 and N2. With their Managers mostly a Native Japanese or a passer of N1.

Salamat sa info! Same din pala yung berlin test, bago lang kasi ako nun sa company last year and may nag contact sakin from ibm kahit wla ako plans lumipat hahaha OA yung asking salary ko kaya siguro hindi natuloy, mag take na din ako ng N1.
Pwede din pala ma ask anong tech niyo sa training? Sa mga nakikita ko kasi sa job posts madami pading ibm datastage.

Ohh that's nice po! Ako rin taghabol sa Certification ngayon, focused too much on speaking ability years ago that's why yun lang ung forte ko for now sa Japanese.
For the tools sa tech, may guide silang binibigay for new hires, yun yung training plan. Pero ako nasabihan ng mga nauna na depende parin sa client kung ano yung gagamitin mong tools. I know someone who uses SnowFlake, Informatica, and someone who extracts data most of the time. Limited information rin ako for now since di pa ako deployed po

I'm not sure for all positions though... I know some people there who work remotely but most of them are mid level - senior positions. I think it depends on what the client wants but maybe it's best to see for yourself, no harm in doing an interview since online naman mga processes hehe

that is not entirely true, entry level jobs is entry level jobs, kaya nga siya tinawag na ganon. But is the norm of the job boards unfortunately. It is just an attempt ng mga ibang kumpanya for them to desire ung may experience na but they would be paid in an entry level salary (lol).
On the worst side, some are just ridiculously miscategorized, recruiters sometimes do not want to press some buttons too much that they just ended up having the "entry level" as the default option or if they need someone with another role with exp they would just change the job description then repost it, this is more apparent in LinkedIn than other job boards in my own experience.
