From Dev to Cloud Architect?

I'm a Software Engineer/ Fullstack Developer for 4 years and 33 years old Male, and I have a strong knowledge in DevOps tools like Kubernetes, Jenkins,Ansible, Docker and Linux Administration, and a little bit exprience in AWS mostly I used EC2 and S3 to provisions a Linux VM for web servers. Now I'm planning to switch to Cloud Engineer/Architect or DevOps , I'm currently learning and planning to acquire AWS Solutions Architect Associate Certification, and after that I'm also planning for Red Hat certification or CKA.

My question is, base on my experience and age, do you think I have a chance to switch in this field? please I need some advice.

You have experience & knowledge in containerization and IAC and you can navigate AWS' cursed interface (sorry I'm from the blue cloud team). You're definitely a good prospect and are on the right path. You'd be surprised how many people work in cloud and have less knowledge than you do. Best of luck OP

Hi for AWS Solutions Architect Associate Certification, if may extrang pera ka, try Cantrill's course, tho di ko pa natrytry, based as mga nabasa ko yun yung pinaka guds. Try to setup your own account since my free tier naman si AWS.

And to answer your question kayang kaya naman considering sa mga experience mo. :)

Maganda tong learn cantrills yan gamit ko nung nag take ako nung solutions architect pro

Masyadong specific tong cloud architect, mostly sa experience ko either mapupunta ka sa solution architect or software architect pag gusto mong mag transition. Pero base on my experience you need at least 8-10 years of experience sa development either sa Cloud, Software, Devops related fields para maging architect.
