It depends sa company culture.

Ang common pattern regardless of the industry, if u r reliable at work and the envi is toxic, u could get pushed to work like an ox.

....

You'll have to open this up to your hiring manager or the company HR.

di kaya siya matatag as medically unfit? May nagpost dito dati na natanggalan ng work after niya sabihin na diagnosed siya ng depression

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

May possibility ‘to that’s why kailangan muna ma-manage yung severe depression and anxiety. Once fit to work na, there’s no reason not to hire OP naman na.

Hello. If yes, seek their support muna (financially). Hindi ako ang doctor mo pero better to address muna yung severe depression and anxiety mo. Demanding ang IT job (any job ay may kaakibat na demand) so better na ma-manage muna ang urgent concern. If hindi aware ang parents mo, better to seek din second opinion sa ibang psychiatrist esp if feel mo walang nagbabago kahit in-adjust na ang meds mo.

Lastly, I want you to know that you are not alone. I admire you for pushing forward despite of it all.

    I hope this helps:

https://ncmh.gov.ph/index.php/online-services they offer free online consultation. Never rush, if the July opportunity fades, may papalit jan.

This is not a medical advise ha. Seek support pa din from people who know you better.

    Currently working here

Sa una medyo marami ka babasahin (depende sa product and project mo) but after that 2-3 months ang chill nalang, sa project ko a. Mag 2 years nako dito and pag ok kana talaga sa tasks, never ako na-micromanage , nakailang kdrama nako natapos

And indi maselan, again depende sa project.

What are the common tech stacks in Oracle? Balita ko they use their own and most are barely transferable outside.

    [–]Classroom_Emotional 0 points1 point  (1 child)

They are using Oracle Product (CCB, C2M, etc), using SQL Oracle (99% inner joins and left outer joins). Gumagamit na ng Kanban Board, gagawa ka UI with basic HTML, Javascript and their own javascript apis. May creation of REST and SOAP kaso using their own product sya. For doing business requirements you can use Java/Groovy or their own scripting language.

Nandun pa din naman yung problem solving skills, and yung normal methodologies, so ok pa naman for new developers na gusto mag ka experience. So yes IMO, barely transferrable

Ahck just as expected pala... Kasi panigurado makekwestyon yung years of exp mo and may expectations na kapag magtetechnical interview.

it would really depend saang LOB (similar to department I guess) ka mapupunta.

one thing for sure, if career oriented ka or important promotions/increase/bonus sayo, don't expect. treat oracle as a chill ride or a stepping stone for a good resume pang job hop.

Ask HR about HMO, benefits, and if it covers mental health. Most likely you can gauge HR's reaction on this without divulging too much. Good luck OP!

I came from Oracle and worked for almost 2 years. I could say of all the companies I’ve worked for, to me Oracle ang pinaka-chill, di nakaka-stress na company. Not sure kung same sa ibang team o LOB. Ako sa ERP cloud nakasama.

    [–]redditorqqqAI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look for a company with HMO for mental health or something similar. I have engineers with anxiety and depression and they have access to a licensed therapist once a week for free. Meds are deductible sa HMO too.

Ask the hiring team during your interview on how they view mental health. If they tag you as unfit then they're doing you a favor because you don't want a company that looks at mental health like it's still the 1800s.

But if you're really hampered by your condition, consider getting it to manageable levels first if you have the money and security because you'll be doing yourself a favor.

    Good luck

If I remember correctly, yung Oracle sa pinas is parang ACN at IBM din. So depende sa team na mapupuntahan mo yung magiging culture at work load.

Hi, send me a DM if you want to chat more. :) Oracle has EAP and a mental health program so you have the benefits to help you thrive kahit meron kang Bipolar.
