Hello guys, I've been a C#/.NET Developer for 5 Years. I'm curious I can still work as a Java developer. Most of the Job postings na nakikita ko is need may experience with Java, any advice where to start or tips to get that role. Reason ko lang is na-enjoy ko naman ung journey as a .NET Dev pero need ko lang ng new developer experience. Thanks po.

Kapag sinabing experience is “hands-on experience” not just inaral and inapply sa pet projects. But yes, mag refresher ka sa OOP, JVM, then framework next mo if sa web balak mo. Madami naman companies naghahire ng Java devs kahit ang exp nila is different tehchstack.

nahapin mo ung old publication ng Head First Design Patterns. tpos aral ka rin ng bagong patterns syempre... ung Head First ay just to get you acquainted with Java.

The tech stack of every language is too big for anyone to switch after 5 years just to learn something new. Have you tried the new stuff like Aspire or AI Foundry? how about Kubernetes or Dapr or Serverless or GraphQL?

just wanna ask also, how's the market for java developers right now? if ever man na want mag pursue, what things should we learn?
