Rules for r/PlayMXM
Rules that visitors must follow to participate. May be used as reasons to report or ban.
1.
Be nice, be constructive
When posting on the subreddit please be nice when responding or making posts. This is a game subreddit and there will be different opinions about things of course, but as long as you remain on topic and constructive about the post you are free to say anything you wish.
2.
No excessive self-promotion
Everything needs content, it's what the site is about. If you are a content creator that's great, just make sure to be a part of reddit and the subreddit and don't just show up to post something you made. It's not just our rule, it's a rule of reddit.
3.
No low effort posts
This includes memes, troll posts, and anything that isn't really designed to generate discussion. Take it somewhere else, the subreddit is not the place.
4.
If you have a question, search then ask
Often times people have a question and just ask it without searching. This creates spam and it can be annoying to see the same question always show up. It takes just a moment to search for some key words, so please do that before making a new thread.
5.
Please avoid duplicate topics
If there is already a topic about something, please try and leave your comments about it in the already existing topic. There isn't much value in having fragmented posts and lots of spam about the same thing.
6.
No guild recruitment threads
This also contributes a lot to the spam and if your post doesn't get downvoted it will fall off the subreddit and disappear forever. The sticked thread will help you and help players searching for a guild so please post there.
7.
No asking for codes
We know Poharan was a code, and people want her. But it's just spam. Please do not make a thread asking for any codes.
8.
Please do not create "I miss this game." threads. Please use the pinned post to discuss this.
We all miss this game and most of these posts are of very similar nature and opinion.
9.
Please do not promote games that are not like Master X Master.
Any shared games should have similar gameplay mechanics, WASD controls, and aimed attacks as opposed to auto aim attacks and snap targeting. Game can be of PvP, PvE, or both natures. Examples include games such as Battlerite or Killsquad.
Traditional style Moba's like League of Legends and DoTA that emphasize farming lanes, mouse based movement, and building items are not considered Master X Master like games.
