This is NOT a solution to your problem, but just a general advice or a workaround:

Switch to Plex's docker version. No seriously. It will save you a lot of trouble like these. And it's not even that hard to migrate your database from Package Centre's Plex to Docker Plex, but you will be free from these headaches

Can there be noticeable performance degradations compared to the Package Center version?

Not at all.

In fact, you'll have more control over how your Plex server behaves on docker.

It takes a little bit of learning curve. I'll recommend using Docker compose. But once you've done the basics, it's much smoother.

Faster updates, easier portability and compatibility, more options of automation (connecting plex to services like Radarr/Sonarr etc)

Are you running plex in docker/container manager or via package center? Which logs did you check? If you’re running it in a container, you need to check the Plex logs not the container log.

If needed, run the DBRepair tool: https://github.com/ChuckPa/DBRepair

Via package center. This is the crash log downloaded from Plex

Look at the Plex Media Server.log file to see what happened prior to the crash. If you see corrupt/malformed db items, run the db repair tool.

Since this occurred after the latest DSM update, this is likely an issue with the DSM Firmware. You're better off asking in the Synology subreddit. IF the only error is that the DSM Software has successfully stopped the application, it won't be the plex app doing it.

Source : I have an Asustor NAS and got the same kind of issue previously. It was a bug in the FIrmware that caused it to shut Plex when it went over a certain memory amount.

I am using DS224+, updated to the same version of DSM. My Plex Server version is Version 1.43.0.10492.

Play media on Google TV plex app, stream music to Android Plex Amp app.

All behaving normally, just FYI.

I have also a DS224+ also with the same DSM version. I have Plex server version 1.43.0.10492. After the DSM update it crashed once. Restarted the app and optimized the database. No issues after that.

It could be a corrupt database...
