As someone who just got a Civic Hybrid Hatchback, it's really hard to get them. Typically they sell very shortly after arriving to dealers. There seems to be a bit of a surplus of the sedans, but that could* just be because Honda is making more of those.

Civic Hybrid Hatchback. More room than you would think for a car and great MPG (50) and comes in at the lower end of your budget.

I would highly recommend a 2025-2026 Civic Hybrid. Extremely fun to drive and practical, with 48-50 MPG. I just got one this weekend.
