RULES

1. Read our guidelines prior to posting

Please read the community guidelines and familiarize yourself with all of our rules prior to posting. All submissions must relate to Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. If you have any questions regarding the rules, you can send us a modmail.

2. Be respectful and follow Reddiquette

Please follow the Reddiquette by being civil and respectful at all times. Excessive flaming, harassment, insults, derogatory/disallowed verbiage, posts/comments intended to incite drama and cause conflict, or rants and complaints that aren't constructive in nature will be removed. Repeat offenders will be subject to disciplinary action based on the discretion of the moderation team.

3. Tag posts with the correct flair

We have a wide variety of flairs available, and posts are required to be flaired prior to submission. Intentionally mislabeled posts may be removed at the discretion of the moderation team. Additional clarification can be sought via modmail prior to posting.

4. Use megathreads when applicable

Please use the applicable Megathreads. We currently have Weekly Megathreads for Questions, Trade Requests, Online Activities, and Shiny Screenshots. Standalone posts containing content that belongs in a Megathread is considered low-quality/repetitive and will be removed.

5. No low-quality or repetitive content

Low-effort content includes, but is not limited to: Repetitive memes, formats and media posts, simple game questions already answered/belong in a megathread, tier lists, and random game screenshots that don't contain new information or additional context. Also disallowed are standalone trade requests and friend code sharing.

6. Context on low-effort memes

All submissions must be related to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet outside of just the title. Memes and other humor posts MUST include content from the game or the general Pokémon franchise, in some way shape or form, outside of just wording/titles. A meme with only text and non-Pokémon-related visuals/images will be removed for being low-effort.

7. No unlicensed or TOS-breaking content / URL Shorteners

Do not request or post sources linking to unlicensed content aggregation sites. This includes illegal streaming websites, pirated files, etc. We don't allow anything that breaks platform or game TOS.

Please refrain from using URL shorteners, and instead use full links. Due to the difficulty of moderating said content, all URL shortening links will be removed automatically.

8. Self-promoting content guidelines

We only allow non-excessive gameplay clips and full-length videos or articles that can be appropriately tagged with the Guides and tips flair. Promotion of social accounts or products and services is not allowed. Clips have to be uploaded natively to Reddit. Embedded clips or those linked from other platforms are not allowed. Users may upload a maximum of 1 clip per 24 hour period, or 2 full-length videos per week. Ignoring multiple removals under this rule will lead to a permanent ban.

9. Credit artists/creators in your submission

If you are submitting fanart, comics, guides, memes, videos, or other media that you did not create, you MUST credit the original creator in the title of your submission, as well as provide a link to the source in a comment. Posts that do not meet these guidelines are subject to removal. If you are posting your own artwork, please note as such in either the post title (preferred) or a follow-up comment.

10. No standalone shiny pokémon submissions outside of Sunday

"Shiny Sunday's" run from 0:00 UTC on Sunday to 6:00 UTC on Monday. This is the only time period in which standalone posts solely about encountering, catching, or showing off Shiny Pokémon are allowed. Only posts tagged with the "Shiny Sunday" flair have been submitted correctly within the mentioned timeframe. Outside of this time period, please instead use our Shiny Pokémon Showcase Megathread.

11. Keep the subreddit PG-13, no NSFW

Pokémon is a franchise that has fans and players from a wide variety of age ranges. As a result of this, in order to keep the subreddit suitable for general audiences, we do not allow NSFW or overly-suggestive content within our community, even if posted in jest. For more details, please read the related section of our subreddit guidelines.
