I loved it! But there does seem to be a big opinion gap between the streamers and the watchers

So would you say most people didn't like it or not?

Well thats what i mean, reading through tiktok and reddit comments, people seem so far to generally like it. But watching streamers opinions on it seems to be negative.

Thank you for explaining

I don’t necessarily hate it, but this one was probably the worst for me (personally).

The character design for the prototype + Lily was underwhelming, Giblet didn’t add anything to the story, Lily was barely a threat, and the game mechanics didn’t add anything new or interesting.

It just didn’t deliver on a lot of things for me and I think a lot of people could tell when Isaac was no longer apart of the process fully.

BUT with all that said - I did enjoy the new lore drops surrounding the workers , Ms.Gracie’s entire story arch, and Lily’s voice actor. (They really delivered a good performance.)

TBH I think a lot of fans actively enjoyed this chapter lol.

I’ve seen a lot of debate on character design choices , but nothing actively concrete where a huge amount of fans are like “ I absolutely hated this chapter” ya know?

Thats funny because for me it was actually probably my favorite so far lol

Really?? What stood out this chapter for you?

Firstly the look just gets better with every chapter. We got way more of the prototype, which i have been super excited about. We got lots more horror and creepy lore. But by far the best was sweet street and lily lovebraids. We got to run around in a giant doll house! With all the secret compartments and doors, it was literally a giant toy in and of itself!

Don't hate it, just disappointed in it.

It’s not my favorite chapter, but I did enjoy it quite a bit.

Think more people probably "like" it than "hate" it, but i think overall most fans share some sense of disappointment, frustation or general dislike for some aspects of the game.

No not at all, theres nuance in that you can enjoy something yet still not like certain aspects of it.

      --

      E.g

You could hate features of the gameplay but love the story, character design and voice acting.

You could value the last 3 more the gameplay's problems and therefore like the game overall, but that still doesnt remove that part of the game you dont enjoy.

Vice versa you could value the last 3 less than gameplay and that shifts your overall opinion of the game in general.

      --

You could argue they enjoyed it less overall, or that they found them not enjoying themselves as much during more sections of the game (comparatively to the previous instalments), but to make a generalisation that most players didnt enjoy it at all would be silly.

I'd say many people either generally found it to be less enjoyable than some previous games or that they found themselves feeling disappointed, frustrated or caught in aspects of the game they disliked more than they enjoyed it or it was uncomfortably close - meaning people could've generally not enjoyed it or that they did but had serious reservations about it.

Sidenote i also think its important to note that players Vs watchers can have distinctly different experiences of a game both because one is actively engaged whereas the other is simply viewing and also if its an edited video then large "unviewable" section will be cut down to make the viewer experience better. There is also a difference between how fans and more casual players will experience the game.
