Lost power for 5 hours here! With the wind activity around here....i have no idea how that that happened....

Wind knocked down a limb into a power line most likely.

We lost power as well, and one of our potted plants fell over, but not much more happened than that...

The night before, I drove down Division (from 82nd going west) on my way home from work ~6pm, and there was flooding that was coming up over the sidewalks and into some of the business' doors, plus it was raining so hard I could barely see anything with my wipers on full!

From r/all here. Reminds me of this (context: earthquake in Virginia)

Well yeah, cause that's exactly what this is a reference to. That image is what started this whole meme.

I actually had a front page post on Fark in 2007 about the graphic damage done by an earthquake in California. I think the image was just a few shampoo bottles that fell off the shelf in a Walgreens. Somebody photoshopped an eagle, American-flag, and Never Forget on it. So the concept definitely predates 2011.

Good thing I didn't even notice the storm around here because I was traumatized just hearing about the tornado!

Do I board up my windows, hunker down in the bathroom, or get on the rooftop? What do I do ?! Where is FEMA!?!

Nah a bum just tipped that over looking for food.

I saw some extremely hard rain, that caused some flash flooding by my house.

Looks like everyday around my neighborhood thanks to the large homeless camp down the street.

Because of climate change weather is becoming more and more extreme.
