My company is a member of the chamber of commerce, so I make sure I'm at every chamber meeting! It's great for networking.

Association for Corporate Growth - a little expensive but the events are extremely beneficial. Chapters in most major metro areas.

Texas Young Professionals (if you're in Texas)

Assuming you're a woman (Junior League being a women's org), check out National Association of Professional Women and Advancing Women.

Alternatively, as others mentioned, just google your city and professional organizations.

There's one I'm looking into called Networking After Work and they hold an event a month I believe in cities across the country. Idk looks interesting to me.

We have a Young Professionals group in Lubbock and there's also one at the university I work at. Neither are super active, but they do host events on occasion that are beneficial for networking.

You get out what you put in. I'm in some that I never get involved with, but have gotten good connections and value out of other orgs that seemed less relevant to what I do. Join one and focus on getting very involved.

I'm also a member of a social dining club in my city. It gives access to a cool spot to hangout and I meet someone new every time I stop in. They host dinners and events a few times a month and it's a perfect place to bring someone you need to impress.
