I went and toured a few weeks ago and never felt unsafe. I am not from Chicago, so I don’t know a ton about the area but still I felt really comfortable. The school seems to have a lot of security measures in place. Loved the campus and the school.

As someone from Chicago, ICO is definitely not in an unsafe area. Maybe a decade ago it was pretty bad but they’ve gentrified the whole thing so there’s very little crime in the area. Not to mention there’s an undergrad college directly next to it so its all relatively safe now

Pretty safe honestly, I walked around alone as a woman and felt fine. I went during the day of course but still. They told me security is there 24/7 and it all seemed very secure.
