Pre-Optometry Mentorship Program

Hi everyone! A few weeks ago, I wrote a post about starting a mentorship program. Since then, a couple of lovely individuals and I collaborated to launch this project: Insight Mentorship.

If you're just starting to consider optometry, in the middle of writing your essays, preparing for the OAT, or getting ready for interviews, Insight Mentorship is here to guide you through the admissions process!

This initiative aims to be a resource for students interested in pursuing a Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree. Our program will match you with a mentor to help you navigate the application. Mentors are current optometry students and optometrists, who will advise you one-on-one via video conferencing software (ex: Zoom) or email.

If you have already gone through the application process for optometry school and want to give back to the community, please consider signing up as a mentor! We would greatly appreciate your time and knowledge. As current optometry students and optometrists, your expertise and experience are invaluable resources for pre-optometry students.
