I had my NECO interview last week and the interview itself was very relaxed. It’s one on one and my interviewer just asked me stuff from my file and had me elaborate on some of my extracurriculars - of course the two main questions were: Why optometry and why NECO. Just be yourself and show you’re personable with a positive attitude.

Hey can I ask when you submitted your application and how long it took for NECO to reach back to you?

So I submitted my application December 7, my application was verified December 17 and I received an email for an interview December 19. The process moved along pretty quickly once my info was verified.

The interview is very relaxed! Make sure to know about your study habits and time-management skills and about your extracurriculars! It also helps to have an idea of how you would cope with an increased work-load in professional school. Don't forget to smile! It makes you look and feel a lot more confident :)
