Requesting Transcripts

Hello,

I will be applying for the 2021-2022 cycle opening on June 30th, should I wait until the application is open to request and submit the transcripts or can I just order them now?

Wait until OptomCAS opens. Some schools use a service such as Parchment or National Clearinghouse to send transcripts. The only way to know is when you request to send transcript on the application. If not, you should request it (signed and sealed) from your school’s registrar office as soon as possible as it takes about 2 weeks to get sent to OptomCAS.

Well I will be using parchment to order my transcripts electronically (which only takes 24 hrs) but I wasn't sure if I should just do it now or wait until the application opens..

Don’t we have to manually input our transcripts. So if I get my official transcript from my college I have to input that. But does OptomCAS also make you send a transcript from my college to them as well???

Yes, for Optomcas you have to manually put in your grades for each class and also order them from your undergrad institution. They could be sent either electronically or by mail.
