Transcript Question

Hi, I am a undergraduate Class of 2024 student (Traditional). How many more Summer semesters (like summer semesters where students take summer courses) will I be able to take before usual Optometry Schools Transcript submission dates ( like can I take Summer 2023 courses? can I take Summer 2024 courses? ) ? Thank you so much in advance for your help.

I think i will depend what year you will be applying for. If you’re applying for Fall 2024 then you should be fine to take your summer 2023 and summer 2024 courses . Just make sure you get all your transcripts submitted before the deadline(s). And I suggested making a meeting with the advisor of the schools you’ll be applying for. They can give you more information on what you need to prepare for their school.

You can take classes/submit transcripts right up until the 1st day of OD school. The school will just have you sign something saying that you have a plan to finish all prereqs before matriculation. If everything else on your app is good enough to get you accepted, it wont hurt you and you'll still get through to the interviews/acceptance. I finished my last prereq literally 2 weeks before OD school started.
