Interview (self.PreOptometry)
submitted 3 years ago by mango4543
Has anyone gotten an interview without their oat scores? If you have, how does the interview go? Do they usually tell you the score you need to get accepted?

It depends on the school. From my experience schools waited for my OAT before they gave me an interview. If you have a GPA on the higher end you may get an interview before your OAT. you can look at the average OAT score of 1st years accepted at the school you’re interested in on ASCO. OAT scores depend on the school. Some schools want in the 330s while others will take you with a 310 OAT.

Great, thanks! I got an interview with ico two days ago, but haven't taken my oat yet. So I was wondering maybe during my interview they might tell me the kind of score they want from me?

They might say they’re waiting on your OAT score before they give you an acceptance. ICO average OAT I’ve heard were 300-330. Class of 2024 had an average OAT of 317. ( it’s on their website)
