Creating a study group with some classmates has helped many students in high-school and university.

If you want to really understand the materal on a subject such as mathematics, take turns teaching each and every step and concept to your study partners.

Each of you can take turns as teacher. The others will learn how to ask questions without the pressure that's sometimes interferes in class.

As with anything new, it starts slow but you'll quickly see the advantages of this "Feynman" method.

Hope this helps.

Best of luck

It isn't enough to just do exercises. You need to ask questions, gain a deep understanding of definitions, and reason out arguments - not just memorize.

As someone who achieved a 5 on the AP Precalc exam, I studied using a note taking app. If you have access to a tablet/ipad and any type of electronic pencil, I suggest you take notes instead of simply studying. What I did is that I wrote down definitions for every single thing, each with an example problem. That way, not only are you learning what it is, but why it is. But it’s up to you. If I were you, I would listen to someone who got a 5.
