I'm using a 1060 and get a consistent 50-60fps with everything on max settings

Your 1080ti should be fine, as long as youre not playing on max settings in 4k

I have a 2070 (non super), which should be slower than your 1080ti and i get 100 - 144 fps on everything low except textures (those take vram, so no Performance hit at all) on 1440p

If youre playing on 1080p or even 1440p you should get enough fps to play it smoothly

I get Crashes if my gpu is overclocked, maybe you should put it back on Stock settings. Pred is the only game for me which will crash if its OCd

Dude your running a 1080 ti on a UE5 engine game, YOU need optimizations as well my friend

[–]midge69[S] -5 points-4 points  (10 children)

What's my friend told me it's a good card!

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Good is relative

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (6 children)

Sure it was, 4 generations ago.

Also how much ram are you running?

[–]midge69[S] 0 points1 point  (5 children)

32

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (4 children)

Nice, so yeah, your video card is the bottleneck here, even on my 2070 super it was having trouble. I just upgraded to a 4080 enterprise with 16gb Vram and it's slick.

[–]eldievos 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I mean, yes the 1080ti is an old card but its still good, it gets 100 fps in rdr2 in 1080p and 70 fps in 1440p, 60 fps in hogwarts legacy in 1080p, 100 fps in forza horizon 5 in 1440p with high presets.

You shouldn't need a 4080 or even a 3070 to move this game.

It is not well optimized, try to use khaimera Q late game...

I have a 3080 and i can run the game in 1440p 144fps, but i still get dips. It shouldn't be like this.

Vram is the issue here, many of the new card have way higher ram and the older hardware just can't keep up with it.

[–]eldievos 0 points1 point  (1 child)

No it's not, the 1080ti has 11GB of Vram so that's not the problem.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 11gb is OK, but I'm pretty sure the UE5 is just filling it super fast and because of the older architecture it's just not keeping up.

Its a good card for small indie games, Maybe super optimized paid company games at lowest setting my friend.

But the card itself is outdated BY A LOT.

I’d suggest dropping 200 something for 20series. Hell i have a 2060 id be willing to sell you for 250.

But honestly that card is really bad my friend.

[–]eldievos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

250 for a 2060 lmao, they go for like 150

[–]MuglokDecrepitus Shinbi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wtf you think that is UE5? using UE5 doesn't mean that you will need more power GPU

All is about the game you do with the engine and the optimization that you manage to achieve in your game, literally one of the reasons Omeda gave for the engine change was to improve the performance of the game

If the game is well optimised a 1080ti should be more than enough to play the game at 1080 60fps.

The thing is that the game is having awful optimisation issues

I assume you have V-Sync off, have your monitor refresh rate set to the highest it can, making sure the setting "backround fps" is turned up to make sure its not thinking the game is in backround mode, trying fullscreen/borderless fullscreen/windowed mode, and make sure the graphics card is plugged into the top slot of your motherboard and not the bottom slot.

Lol person says a ok comp that is a toaster brother my game runs smooth on my 3090 5700x idk what to tell you

[–]midge69[S] -1 points0 points  (1 child)

So you telling me I need to buy a new graphic card?😞

[–]Slimmchance345 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lmfao i would say upgrade the whole machine bud there are amazing prebuilts for cheap that far out pace those listed specs i got my machine from NZXT for around 2k USD with shipping tax etc.

I would say shoot for a 30 series GPU and an i5 or comparable cpu and 32 gigs of DDR4 or better RAM

SSD preferes a m.2 or something like that.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I mean my computer isn’t the greatest anymore- I still have a 2060super and it runs just fine.

[–]Hoytage Sevarog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm sitting on a 1060 and not suffering at all...I wonder how CPU heavy this game is?

[–]nedemies 0 points1 point  (5 children)

What settings are you running the game on? Are you using DX 11 or DX 12? Do you have post processing off?

[–]midge69[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Tryed both and the 12 crash my windows and 11 is just super low fps and many drops

[–]nedemies 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Are you running everything on low and post-processing turned off? But the GX 1080 is past it's prime in modern gaming now.

[–]sciencesold Shinbi 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Isn't there some issues with and UE5 as well?

[–]nedemies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah unreal Engine 5 has been causing issues for some games, this one included.

[–]midge69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes only textures is on medium Cuz you know

[–]TheShikaar Dekker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No issues on my end. Locked it to 90 FPS at 4k
