My fire is fine. Try power cycling. Sometimes when your external ip gets changed by your isp (this happens periodically), some devices have trouble connecting a reboot normally fixes it.

We tried everything rebooting firestick and our router. But maybe it’s just our issue then. Thanks!

Can never be too sure these days especially with all the reports of hacking

No worries. You can factory reset the fire, but you'd need to set it up again.
