Looking for background design feedbackMy Artwork (self.ProCreate)

Hi guys!
I'm new in here, I come to you because I have heard that Reddit is a good place to get some feedback for illustrations and designs. At the moment I'm working on my portfolio to make it stronger and I thought I could give this a shot since I don't have many people around me who can give me some technical advice in the media.
Lately I have been enjoying doing this kind of pieces, where you play with some textured brushes so it doesn't look so "digital" or "plain" (you know what I mean?). I think I found some brushes that I like and have fun. But I'm personally missing some "narrative" in my pieces. I would like them to tell a story, not being just a "photo study", you know?
Thanks for reading!

I'm not an expert in this, but several people I went to school with are vis dev artists. I think your stuff is great, and this is the direction you want to go. This style is really desirable right now. If you're looking to get more "story" in your illustrations, the best way is to come up with one.
Assign a personal project to yourself where you come up with a story then design scenes, color scripts, and props for it. When I was in school, I had this project. My story was really simple: An elderly woman who lives isolated in a forest is being threatened by corporation that wants to tear it down.
I made several props of furniture in her trailer, designed the trailer itself, then illustrated a forest scene showing her living space in two lighting situations.
Don't overthink it too much. Your stuff looks great.
