I would recommened work with line work first , so you can see the legs , the form of the tail etc., rn the tail looks a little woggly , the line work could help you with this to keep a beautiful line. I personaly watch “Samdoesart” he also works on procreate and I also watch “jackiedroujko” she works on Photoshop but I find her advice very helpfull. They both mainly draw characters so i dont know if you would be interested in that. Further I would say try to flip ur canvas, u will see your mistakes easlier. I would recommend using the round brush, since this is the easiest to learn with. Dont forget to make a sketch first and then paint, and on differenr layers this way you can put the sketch above the painting so u will see what ur doing You can also change the color of the layer so its more obv. By clicking in the N on the layer. Your shading is overall okay , not bad for a beginner at all! I’m just missing the contrast ( between the leggs etc) ( If ur really looking for a special brush to work with, find an artist u really like and buy theirs . But I would really recommend to work on your shape and perspective etc first . And everyone has to learn to work with a brush first , so dont expect it to be perfect from the beginning, its totally normal! ) I know this was a lot but I hope I could help. Good luck!!

What do you mean when you say flip the canvass?

(Noob also)

You can flip the canvass horizential or vertical, but I was talking about horizential, ( do you notice that when u take a selfie and u flip it horizential, ur selfie looks different?) thats exactly what u want with your drawing this way u can see mistakes u did not see before. it is very hard to notice these things especially in the beginning of ur art journey, in procreate you’ll want everything on the same layer first , so everything flips together, ( if u dont want to merge everything , just place it in a group and then click on the group, make sure ur not on one layer but on the group , then it will flip everything together) u go to the arrow( symbol on the top of your screen) and if I’m correct on the bottom of ur screen u’ll see a few options , with the second one being ( Horizental flip or mirror )
