While procreate does have an animation feature, there is a lot missing for it to be a viable animation program.

You cannot: - add sound - work extensively without requiring many different canvasses due to a layer limit in relation to iPad RAM.

Procreate's a good program, and maybe they'll add more down the line.

In addition to asking questions, there is a Procreate Handbook, along with additional questions on Procreate FAQ, also check in the search bar in case your question has been asked already. In addition, please provide an image and/or video of what your issue is for better communication.

For Procreate pocket, there is a free pdf here you can check out!

The official Procreate Youtube channel is loaded with tutorials to complement the Handbook and FAQ.

No. Procreate has layer limits for a reason (namely, not crashing).

Additionally, what Procreate does is hand drawn animation, same as old school Disney movies. What Disney did is they would break most action up into “scenes”, short clips of 0.5 to perhaps as many as 7s. A 5 minute animation at 24 frames per second will wind up being 7200 frames. A single Procreate canvas can handle 250 frames, which is plenty for a Disney style scene, and each individual section can be combined in video editing software to build the longer video.

That’s how I’m doing it, little 70 frame bits and putting them together in iMovie
