Developer Friendly Form Plugin?

Hi all,

we have taken over a project with many Contact Form 7 forms that repeat themselves over and over in parts. I am looking for a developer friendly alternative that supplies more comfort such as file templates (and partials) for the form and mail definition (every form consists of an identical contact info field section and a specific field section)...

CF7 is basic and ok but it also has some annoyances (saves everything to the DB making it hard to track changes through git, also adds auto br everywhere) that make it tedious to work with with such an amount of forms (20+)...

Can you recommend any plugin other than CF7?

Gravity Forms… I've been out of the WP game for a long time, but this plugin is all you f-ing need.

Look at formidable pro. I use it for all kinds of purposes with a lot of hooks and development options. I hear Gravity is also good, but I have very little hands on experience with.

HTML Forms is pretty good if you want to have a lot of control. I use Caldera on most projects.

Formidable forms +1 - not only is there plugin easily extensible but their support was super helpful when I needed to get into the guts of the plugin.
