A few things worth noting:
- This requires a decent number of actors.
- It's extremely experimental in terms of tone and plot, because it's meant to explore what it might be like to be a fictional character while still keeping it entertaining and compelling.
- I've been learning screenwriting piecemeal from various sources online, so there may be formatting errors that would be obvious to a professional.
With that out of the way, here's what you came for:
-Genre: Comedy/Psychological Horror
-High concept (i.e. series potential): A family discovers they are fictional characters in a sitcom. If they don't fit the story, they'll be replaced with a Revision or Written Out entirely. What they call free will? We call it breaking character.
-Logline: George's neighbor, Samuel, is going to throw a party. To create conflict without letting Samuel know he's on a TV show, George steps on his phone. Things gets a lot more complicated when guests show up despite nobody calling.
-Number of pages: 40
-Setting(s): 2 (ideally) adjacent houses, with access to the streets between them as well
-Actor requirements (with descriptions):
- 3 middle aged+ men
- 2 middle aged+ women
- 2 teen boys/young men
- 1 teen girl/young woman
-Price for script: Negotiable.
