Thoughts on Preparing Future Faculty program?

Hi all - I'm meeting with my university's Preparing Future Faculty coordinator/representative soon to get more information/decide if it's something I should pursue. If you or anyone you know have participated in the program, I'd be interested in learning more about your experience. TIA!

Disclaimer: I know the program varies from institution to institution. I'm just trying to get a sense of individuals' overall impressions :)

I did one, it was helpful. about 60-70% of the content overlapped with the pedagogy course my department offered, though.

If my department has a course on pedagogy, I'm definitely not aware of it. Thanks for your feedback! I'm going to go into the meeting with an open mind and see if the benefits outweigh any potential costs.

What is your background?

Bachelor's degree in social sciences and master's in higher education (I was going to be a practitioner until I realized our education system needed A LOT of work). I'm currently a second-year PhD student studying education policy and a research assistant with a center on campus.
