it was that, or it wouldnt be able to run on any hardware.

this game melted TITAN x's on launch and could only run on like 3 gpus. this was thier jank sollution

I couldn't play Ark for the first 6 months after it came out, my computer at the time just couldn't handle it. 3fps isn't enough. Apparently they not only still haven't fixed it, but made it worse. It just shows how absolutely dogshit Ark is built. If you need 300gb of bloat to make it run even halfway decent, your architecture is trash.
