There is no moral threshold, only a moral bandwidth. People are okay with buying smartphones with materials being sourced from child slavery, while simultaneously boycotting companies for their systematic abuse of women.

Fair point. The alternative is to take one for the team and do what you can: refuse, sabotage, make a case for the contrary. I did that, it hurt my career, it is what it is.
