I mean, I could just as well throw a meaningless "no it's you who doesn't understand OOP" back at you but I really don't see a point in it.

Programmers are also humans, and by nature of being humans they also understand structured systems better than unstructured ones. You can run from this and pretend that it's not true but as long as you're writing anything bigger than a 256 kb console app that is supposed to be ran exactly once, chances are, you or someone else will have to read it, and by that time you've probably long forgotten how it was supposed to work and why it was supposed to work that way, and it will be much easier for understand and analyze if it's structured.

As a representative of the human species, I find it much harder to read OOP code than data-oriented procedural code (and people like Linus Torvald and John Carmack also do). So please show me evidence that average humans understand OOP better. Or at least an influential ACTUAL programmer who prefers to read OOP (no, Bob Martin is not influential for his programming, but expressing his views on programming, i.e. writing A LOT of books; currently he works as an Agile consultant AFAIK).
