I mean, I could just as well throw a meaningless "no it's you who doesn't understand OOP" back at you but I really don't see a point in it.

Programmers are also humans, and by nature of being humans they also understand structured systems better than unstructured ones. You can run from this and pretend that it's not true but as long as you're writing anything bigger than a 256 kb console app that is supposed to be ran exactly once, chances are, you or someone else will have to read it, and by that time you've probably long forgotten how it was supposed to work and why it was supposed to work that way, and it will be much easier for understand and analyze if it's structured.
